About the Worlddidac Award

Continuous Innovation to Improve Learning and Teaching

The Worlddidac Award was created in 1984 with the objective to encourage manufactures of educational materials and training tools to continuous innovation. Today the Worlddidac Award is the most recognized international prize in the education sector. It is presented every two years to innovative and pedagogically valuable products with a high potential to improve learning or teaching.

An international jury of education experts evaluates during a whole week the products that qualify for the Worlddidac Award.

The criteria of evaluation include overall quality, safety, eco-friendliness, pedagogic value, ease of use, aesthetics, handbook quality, degree of realism in software, multi-functionality, adaptability, design innovation, pedagogical innovation, technological innovation, degree of interactivity and performance/cost ratio. Some of the criteria are applied selectively, depending on the type of the product. Participation is open to all manufacturers and providers of education and training products.
