Groovy Music is a series of three programs which make teaching music to primary children easy and fun. Supporting non-specialist teachers in particular, it comes with plenty of clear and well-written supporting materials – and you don’t need to be a musician to use it. In Groovy Shapes, the fi rst of the three programs, children learn about basic music concepts. The Explore section guides them aurally (no reading is required) through a series of progressive exercises which teach them how music works. They can then put into practice what they’ve learned by creating their own music in the Create section.
