Eureka.in is a high end 3D educational software, developed by Designmate (I) Pvt. Ltd. It has been adjudged as "Outstanding example of E-content and one of the winners in the e-Learning category" by the World Summit 2007 at Venice. Designmate is an animation house that has pioneered the Indian animation industry. We made India’s FIRST animated musical.
Eureka.in is a Science&Mathematics teaching and learning application software. Designmate focused on the Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Mathematics for three reasons - first, the Company’s expertise in 3D animations is best utilized in these two subjects; secondly, research has established that if an individual has studied High School level Science and Mathematics, that person is batter able to cope with the pace of change in today’s world, and, thirdly, the basic concepts of Science and Mathematics are universal. Eureka.in covers over 85% of the school curriculum in these four subjects. The software has over 5400 topics in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, with 1800 quizzes and 500 simulations from Grades 1-12 which can be mapped to any curriculum/syllabus. Currently, it is mapped to Indian CBSE, ICSE and Malaysian curricula. Mapping for IGCSE and GCSE for 2000 topics in Physics, Chemistry and Biology has been completed. The voice over is being done in the voice of a native English speaker and will be completed by August 2008. Mapping and voice over for IB are planned for completion by October 2008. Concurrently, 2000 topics are being translated in Arabic and the voice over will be completed by September 2008. The metadata technique used for mapping ensures that the user is only 3 clicks from any topic.
Over the past three and a half years since Eureka was launched, scores of school have reported that Eureka has:
-Significantly improved the teaching and learning process of science and mathematics in their schools.
-Helped save teaching time by up to 60% by primarily cutting out the "Chalk and Talk" method of teaching. This means that the syllabus can be covered three times in an academic year thus improving individual and school performance.
-Made the job of teachers easier by doing away with the need to draw complex diagrams on the board.
-Helped students understand complex concepts clearly thus perform better not only in exams but also in inter-school
-Helped schools attract more students because of improved performance.
