Evaluation

General Information

The evaluation process is divided into two parts. As a first step, the products are assessed and judged by a group of professional teachers. The second part requires a physical evaluation and presentation in front of the panel of international experts. The Products must be market ready and cannot be prototypes.

We strongly recommend that the participants personally present their products to the jury of experts during the evaluation week. Online presentation through Skype, Hangouts or FaceTime, is also acceptable. This presentation should not exceed more than 20 minutes and can be conducted in English or German.

Jury of Teachers

The panel of teachers consists of teachers from different educational sectors and levels to ensure that all products are evaluated true to their proper field and level of education. The teachers assess and judge the quality of the products based on the implementation in terms of day-to-day usage. They focus primarily on educational and didactic aspects.
A representative of the panel of teachers is also a member of the jury of experts.
The influence of the teachers’ judgement on the final result is 33,33% (one third)

Jury of Experts

The panel of experts consists of international specialists in the field of education and concentrates foremost on basic aspects, educational value, design, and sustainability. The composition of the jury is balanced between experts from Switzerland and other continents. The influence of the experts’ judgement on the final result is 66,66% (two thirds).

The decisions of both juries are final.
