Award

Since 1984 the Worlddidac Foundation presents the Worlddidac Award, an internationally recognised distinction for educational resources.

In Fall 2016, the Worlddidac Award will take place for the 17th time. The Award is very appreciated and a sign of quality in the educational industry, thanks to the professional evaluation and continuity.

Companies who offer offer new products and solutions for all levels of education can participate for a fee. Their new products will be evaluated by a teacher jury and an international expert jury. The winners will be rewarded with a prestigious Award  at the ceremony in fall 2016.

The participation at the award has many advantages for companies. Worlddidac helps to promote the winners in a number of ways, e.g. at the main Worlddidac educational fair, at the Worlddidac website and with an article in the Worlddidac e-journal.

Jury of Teachers

In order to increase transparency and credibility, a jury of ten teachers from Switzerland will be assembled. They will carry out a pre-evaluation, judging the products from the perspective of everyday practice in schools. To the jury of teachers, only the documentation of the product will be presented. Two members of the jury of teachers will sit on the jury of experts. In comparison to the jury of experts, the jury of teachers will carry a one third influence over the final results.

Jury of Experts

The jury of experts consists of eight internationally renowned educational experts. They will travel to Switzerland specifically for the evaluation week from June 13th to 16th. We recommend that participants present their products to the jury of experts. The jury of experts will carry a two-thirds influence over the final results.

The decisions of both juries are final.

We have introduced a protocol, which will be followed during the assessment of the products. This should offer more transparency and can be consulted for queries following an unsuccessful participation.

Ceremony

The Awards will be awarded at the festive and prestigious Award Ceremony on November 8th 2016 at BernExpo in Berne. All participants and interested parties are cordially invited to join the festive ceremony.
